Coming from a medical background, Max began his working career as a patient care Technician at Overlook Hospital. He later earned a degree in Surgical Technology and eventually became a Surgical Recovery Specialist.
Meanwhile, he had become intrigued with real estate while he and his wife were purchasing their first home. He also became convinced that home buyers needed more information and guidance than their agent had provided.
Today, Max goes above and beyond to give his clients all the information they need to make wise decisions. He also gives them the time and space in which to make those decisions. Calling himself “brutally honest,” Max will tell clients what he feels about a house, pointing out the pros and the cons. He refuses to encourage anyone to go forward if it might not be in their best interest.
According to Max, PRICING is the most crucial element in home sales. His research shows that properly priced homes sell quicker and for more money than their overpriced counterparts. That said, Max works part time for lenders and large financial institutions doing Broker Price Opinions (BPOs) honing his valuation skills to make sure he’s in tune with the market at all times. He continually adds to this expertise by taking classes on pricing, financing, mortgages, and market analysis preparation.
Communication is an important element in Max’s business practice. It was important in his role as a Surgical Technologist, and he feels that it is just as important in his role as a REALTOR®. His belief is that when communication between all parties is clear, complete, and timely, mistakes and misunderstandings can be avoided and transactions can flow smoothly.
Originally from Brazil, Max is fluent in Portuguese and communicates well in Spanish. He’s pleased to use these skills to assist clients who may not be fluent in English.
Max is a sports fan and a dedicated family man. Most of his free time centers around teaching his daughters to swim and ride bikes, taking them to parks or the beach, or enjoying other family-oriented activities in and around Clark.
